Warm intro

noun · Fundraising

An introduction to an investor made by someone they already trust, rather than a cold approach. It is the default currency of a fundraise: the quality of the intro path often gates the meeting more than the deck does.

A former customer offered a warm intro to an investor who had backed two companies in the same market.
