MVP (minimum viable product)

noun · Customer discovery

The smallest version of your product that delivers the promised result to an early customer, built to learn whether they will use it and pay, not to look finished.

The MVP was a shared inbox and a weekly report done by hand, enough to see whether shops would pay for it.
